For All Spring/ Summer Brides

Up to the 80s, all brides- regardless of how fashionable and carefree they usually are, they never fail to look like...

THIS!!!
Like Princess Di in her wedding dress, they almost always looked as though as they had been wrapped in multiple layers of curtains. In other words, they looked like a doll.

Princess Di's gown was so freaking long. The cleaner probably got a day's rest during her wedding.

My.... we all believed that this was a fairytale.

Thankfully, this phenomenon changed when a miracle woman arrived in the fashion world.

She needs no introduction. The legendary Vera Wang!

Brides-to-be, we all know how awesome Vera Wang is.

A few appetizers are always encouraged! -wink-

See? Brides don't need to worry about being fashionable during their big days these days. Thanks to Vera Wang.

Besides, Vera Wang also gained massive publicity through Hollywood!

In the much remembered movie, Bride Wars, we saw Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway in her designs.

AND....

Sarah Jessica Parker in a Vogue shoot in the movie version of Sex and the City!

Since the Spring/Summer collection is first to arrive in 2011, the latest gowns are mainly what I'm showing you in this post.

Among those 11 dresses, which is/are your favorite(s)? Mine's the second- simple, elegant and glamorous. In my opinion, brides should appear classy and sacred besides being fashionable. Not sultry or in another word- slutty. I do wonder why some brides appear in what seems to be a party dress these days.

I don't want to affect your judgement in terms of your ideal wedding dress. However, there's one thing I have to point out. See no. 6? What's the thing doing around the neck? It looks like something snipped from the curtain!

Pick your dress! Toodles!

  1. I like #1 (without the black hand gloves) and #5. :D
Hmm... To be honest, I never really thought about my dream wedding dress. I'll worry about it AFTER I find Mr Right, haha!

  2. Haha! Same here! But no harm looking at some before your Mr Right proposes to you- so that you can save the hurry!

I watch Bride Wars and still didn't pay attention to the dress designer :) I like the movie sound track though and heck I use it on my own :)

I missed the movie as it came out when I was busying myself over things (most probably school). It was those stuffs I read online that gave me this information.
